Fran’s note: Menopause The Musical is set within a department store, all seven floors of it. Developing the concept with Sam Klingner and Katherine Head, the brief was to develop a design which situated our audience a modern shopping centre, something they could see themselves walking into. Soft greys with luxe golds accents and uplighting resemble the familiar territory of the retail environment. Meeting the requirements of a regional touring schedule, the set is design to be scalable and swiftly assembled in under 2 hours.
